Nowadays scammers and fraudsters  can access your mobile phone numbers and start calling you. This is frustrating but the good news is the such calls can be blocked off. Here is tutorial on how to block off unwanted calls. 

​Many times, you receive calls from strangers or even telephone campaigns at the most inappropriate times of the day and you would have that desire to somehow block those numbers from calling. The smart phone you have has an inbuilt function that can help you with that. Whilst it’s much easily accessible through iPhones, android devices with OS Marshmallow 6 now has this specific function.

Simply follow these basic steps on how to bar unwanted callers:

Today many smartphones carry a lot of personal information. These include all of your text messages, emails, notes, apps, app data, music, pictures, and so much more are all on there. While it’s a very great convenience to have all of these on your phone, it’s also a major security risk if all of this data is easily accessible. The best way to prevent simple unauthorized access is by setting some sort of lock  or password on your phone.

Two popular choices, especially on Android phones, are passwords and pattern locks.

To set up a pattern lock on your android device, follow the basic steps below:

1. Go and select settings
2. Once in the Settings menu, scroll down to the “Personal” section and tap the “Security” entry.
3. The first option in this menu should be “Screen lock,” which is the one we’re looking for here. Go ahead and give that a tap
4. This will present a handful of options:

• None: No lock screen security at all.
• Swipe: Not really secure at all, this option unlocks the device just by swiping on the lock screen.
• Pattern: Unlocks the device by using a specific swipe pattern along a series of nine dots.
• PIN: Personal Identification Number. You know, like the one you have for your debit card. But don’t use the same one, please.
• Password: Not your Google password, mind you, but one specific to the lock screen. This is the most cumbersome way to unlock your device.
• Tap the one you want to use and go through the prompts to set it up.

I am using a smart sim in the Philippines and I see so much difference in the data usage then with Digicel in PNG.
1. 100 Philippine peso is equals to 6.68 PNG kina.
For 100 pesos, I get 1G for 3 days All net and internet video included and it is a very honest network. When the 3 days are over, I receive a text message telling me your data is expired.
2. I have 300 pesos in my phone as load/units.
The network will only use the MB 1G that I bought and leave my 200 pesos unused unless I have to buy for 3 days or more.

Digicel has been sending promotional and advertising text messages to its customers on its network. This is sometimes frustrating and in fact it is intruding privacy to the Phone owner. 

Digicel does not indicate or provide precise information to its customers on how to stop those promotions. However, below is  simple code that  you can use to avoid promotional text messages from Digicel. 

Note: The code only works for six months .  That means Digicel  will starting sending the messages again. But you can send the same code to unsubscribe those text messages again.
